David Begovich
CADC-IDavid Begovich, CADC-I, is a dedicated substance use disorder counselor and behavioral health professional committed to helping individuals build sustainable recovery, develop healthier coping skills, and create meaningful change in their lives. He currently serves as an AOD Counselor and Program Coordinator at Serenity Recovery Solutions in Folsom, California, where he provides individual and group counseling, completes ASAM assessments, develops treatment plans, coordinates client care, and supports the delivery of quality behavioral health services. David specializes in evidence-based approaches including Motivational Interviewing (MI), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), relapse prevention, and psychoeducation. His clinical work focuses on helping clients identify patterns of behavior, strengthen emotional regulation, improve relationships, develop recovery supports, and increase personal accountability throughout the treatment process. As a Program Coordinator, David contributes to the organization and coordination of treatment services by collaborating with clinical teams, supporting program operations, maintaining documentation standards, and helping ensure clients receive structured, effective, and compassionate care. He is dedicated to creating an environment where clients feel supported, respected, and empowered throughout their recovery journey. David’s passion for the behavioral health field is rooted in his belief that recovery is built through connection, honesty, resilience, and personal growth. He continues to expand his clinical knowledge and education in psychology with the goal of advancing his career in behavioral health and supporting individuals, families, and communities impacted by substance use and mental health challenges.
Deshon Brown
CADC-llDeshon has proudly served at Serenity Recovery Solutions for the past three and a half years. Driven by a passion for helping others, Deshon believes in giving back because someone once invested in his own journey. He considers it both a responsibility and a privilege to support individuals as they pursue lasting recovery.
With a natural gift for encouragement, empathy, and compassion, he strives to create a safe, supportive environment where clients feel seen, heard, and empowered to grow. Outside of work, Deshon enjoys spending time with his family, attending church, working out, fishing, and making lasting memories with his grandchildren and his lovely wife.
Yvonne Martinez
CADC-IIIYvonne Martinez-Thomas is a dedicated behavioral health leader and certified addiction professional with extensive experience in program operations, clinical supervision, and evidence-based, trauma-informed care within residential substance use treatment. As Program Director at Serenity Recovery Solutions, she oversees program quality, staff development, and client-centered service delivery while contributing to positive treatment outcomes through clinical leadership and program development. She is a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor III (CADC-III) and holds a Master’s degree in Substance Abuse/Addiction Counseling from Grand Canyon University, providing a strong academic foundation in clinical psychology, counseling, group facilitation, and co-occurring disorders.
Her professional experience also includes CARF certification and accreditation preparation, Medi-Cal billing oversight, and state and federal regulatory compliance, reflecting a strong commitment to operational excellence and quality assurance in behavioral healthcare. Outside of her professional role, Yvonne values time with her family and her dog, Maverick, and enjoys paddle boarding, sitting outdoors to recharge, and spending time at the driving range.
Stephanie
Administrative CoordinatorStephanie is an RADT-certified professional dedicated to supporting individuals on their recovery journey in a residential drug and alcohol treatment setting. She currently serves as an MHS, Compliance, and Administrative Coordinator at Serenity Recovery Solutions. After beginning her role as a Mental Health Staff (MHS), Stephanie recently transitioned into an expanded position that includes compliance and administrative responsibilities. Stephanie is passionate about fostering a safe, supportive, and compliant environment for both clients and staff. She is committed to continuous learning and helping ensure the highest standards of care and operational excellence within the recovery community.
Anthony DePalma
SUDRC/RADTAnthony DePalma is an SUDRC/RADT and serves as a Primary Counselor at Serenity Recovery Solutions. His role is especially meaningful because he is also a graduate of the program and has experienced firsthand the transformative impact of recovery. This unique perspective allows him to connect with clients on a deeper level, and he is passionate about helping individuals create positive, lasting change in their lives.
Outside of work and school, Anthony enjoys volunteering with an organization that supports individuals experiencing homelessness, staying active in his local recovery community, exercising, riding his bike, and spending time at the lake.
